Eric and Lindsey knew each other through mutual friends but never really talked until one day when Eric got up the courage to contact Lindsey on Facebook. It was one line that read, “You have the most beautiful smile.” Lindsey pretended that she could never fall for such a line, but the truth is, that was all it took! Not long after that, Eric finally asked Lindsey out on a date. Today, Eric still treats Lindsey like it was their first date – pulling out all the stops like a true gentleman even seven years later.
The couple’s engagement story is something Lindsey will always remember. It was on a Friday morning and Eric asked her if she wanted to go out for dinner (which wasn’t unusual for the couple) but as soon as he told her he wanted to “get dressed up”, Lindsey immediately thought something was up. This is something that still makes her laugh. Because Lindsey had a sneaky suspicion that this night may be the night that Eric proposed, she was constantly looking for signs. Then, Eric began to tell Lindsey how important she was in his life and how lucky he was to have her. Just then, in the most romantic way, Eric got down on one knee. Lindsey instantly started to cry and of course said yes! All of our friends arrived shortly after to help us celebrate our new engagement.
For so many reasons, the bride’s favourite wedding moment was walking down the aisle. “Knowing how happy my dad was to walk his only little girl down the aisle towards the man she loves, and of course seeing Eric waiting for me was all very overwhelming,” says the bride. “So there we were, both crying in anticipation of one of the most special days of our lives and I’m so thankful that those moments will never be forgotten.”
As for the couple’s favourite wedding details, it’s hard to narrow it down. “If I had to pick one thing, I’d have to say that the way our reception space was decorated was more than anything I could have hoped for,” says Lindsey. “When I met with Diane I had such a hard time verbalizing what I was envisioning in my head, but she was so good at getting it just right. I feel so honored that we had such a unique space to celebrate our wedding vows.”
